Welcome to PromptifyApp, a brand of aysobeka ("aysobeka (dba PromptifyApp)," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our browser extension, website (www.promptifyapp.com), and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using PromptifyApp, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, as well as information automatically collected when you interact with the Service.
- Account Information: When you register for an account or upgrade to our Pro or Elite tiers, we collect your email address, name, and password (which is securely hashed).
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to our Pro or Elite tiers, your payment details are collected and processed directly by our Merchant of Record (Paddle). We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
- User Input and Prompts: We collect the text prompts, instructions, and queries ("Inputs") you submit through the extension to enhance and format them, as well as the resulting AI-generated content ("Outputs").
- Usage Data: We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, extension version, and interaction metrics.
2. How We Use Your Information & Legal Basis
We use the information we collect for specific business and operational purposes. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR Article 6), we process your data relying on the following legal bases: Contract Performance (to provide the service and process payments), Legitimate Interest (to improve algorithms, ensure security, and prevent fraud), and Consent (for optional analytics).
- To Provide the Service: To process your Inputs, communicate with third-party AI APIs, and return optimized Outputs to your browser.
- To Maintain Account Access: To manage your registration, authenticate your logins, and provide customer support.
- To Process Transactions: To fulfill your Pro or Elite tier subscription orders and manage billing through Paddle.
- To Improve Our Product: To analyze usage trends via PostHog, fix bugs via Sentry, and develop new features for the PromptifyApp extension.
- To Communicate With You: To send administrative information, updates to our terms, and optional marketing communications.
3. How We Share Your Information & Sub-processors
We strictly do not sell your personal data or your prompt history to third parties. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances with trusted sub-processors:
- Third-Party AI Providers: To function, PromptifyApp securely transmits your Inputs to enterprise LLM providers (Groq, OpenAI, Google). These providers operate under enterprise agreements and are strictly prohibited from using user API data to train their public models.
- Infrastructure & Service Providers: We share data with vendors who assist in operations, including Supabase (US) for database hosting, Paddle (UK) as our Merchant of Record, PostHog (EU) for analytics, and Sentry (US) for error tracking.
- International Data Transfers: Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK (such as to the US), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and reliance on Data Privacy Framework adequacy decisions where applicable.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of PromptifyApp and its users.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). However, no internet-based transmission is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and prompt history only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. If you delete your account, we will systematically delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where legally required for tax or compliance purposes.
6. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, including the EEA, UK, and California, you hold specific statutory rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, machine-readable format.
